Kila F Tribute to Dr. Omer Weyi Yembe, February 27, 2012

Beloved Omer,

Unfortunately, Odilia and I could not be at your bedside when you passed into glory because of our own health but as you know, we were there in spirit. We will continue to mourn and pray for you and hope that you do the same for us because we know you are in the bosom of the Lord our God. Remember us and those who have gone before us especially Ebot in your own prayers and please prepare a good place for us as we journey back to meet you.

Omer, you were to me not just a colleague but a brother, a mentor and special adviser in many difficult situations.

Faustine, you and I started as pen friends while I was in in Saint Francis College, Kumba. We finally met face to face in Bambili when our two husbands were colleagues in CCAST Bambili. Since then we have become a family. Together we have lost one of our husbands and I share in your loss.

Omer, rest in perfect peace. You have labored and toiled for the sons and daughters of your country, Cameroon. You have given bread and life to many as a classroom teacher, Vice Principal of Sasse College, Buea, Principal of CCAST Bambili, Delegate of National Education for the South West Province, Buea, Director of Secondary Education, Yaounde, Secretary General of the Institute of National Education, Yaounde, Cultural Attache at the Cameroon High Commission in London, and Secretary of the Cameroon G.C.E Board.

Even when you retired from the Public Service, you still offered significant help to numerous university students and the other scholars researching various aspects of Cameroon’s educational system. You were called home on Ash Wednesday, February 22nd 2012 by the Lord, your God.

You have fought a good fight.  Now, rest in perfect peace in the bosom of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our God.

Kila F A Message From The Fon Of Mbot February 26, 2012

MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, I FEEL SO SAD BUT WHAT CAN I DO?

I NEED TO SHARE JUST THIS
LITTLE BELOW FOR YOU TO MEDITATE ON AND CRY NO MORE. WE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THE FAMILY.

“You can shed tears that he is gone,

or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him only that he is gone,
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what he'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”

BLESSINGS ON YOU ALL

Kila F We will miss you Daddy. February 24, 2012

Daddy,

You were so kind and humble. A man of your words. We thank God because you have fulfilled your purpose in creation. We are also consoled by the words of JOB2:21 “I was born with nothing; and I will die with nothing. The Lord gave and now He has taken away. May His name be praised” for He said that in every circumstance we should give thanks. The Lord gave you to us and now he has taken you to sit at His right hand in His heavenly Kingdom.

We will miss you Daddy.

Mbunwe Glory Yah for the Mbunwe family.

Kila F You are in us! Thank you daddy! February 24, 2012

Daddy used to call me “Mami” and even became angry with those who call me Ndfuto. You used to advise me in these words “ Mami, people always think they can sit and fold their arms and manna will fall from heaven for them to eat.” These words encouraged me and I know that hard work is the key to success. Daddy, I was thinking that in 2 or 3 years to come I will give you a cup of water to drink.  The wicked invisible hand suddenly snatched you from us. Who will call me Mami again? Each time I think of you, tears run down my cheeks. I will live to remember you all day long

Florence Ndfuto .
